This private tour gives you the highest chances to witness Aurora in Iceland and take photographs of the Northern Lights.
To ensure that we go to the best possible locations each time and always check the Aurora forecast before the tour begins. For those who love to take photographs on your journey, we strongly recommend bringing your camera and tripod.
Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) forms when charged particles emitted from the sun during a solar flare penetrate the earth's magnetic shield and collide with atoms and molecules in our atmosphere. Small bursts of light, called photons, are the outcome of those collisions that we call Aurora.
Please note: Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon which means that we cannot guarantee that will appear on the day of your tour.
Although we always do our best to take you to places where is the highest probability you´ll see Northern Lights. There is always a chance that they will not appear on the tour as nature cannot be controlled and a little luck is always needed.
Premium Northern Lights Experience is available every day from mid- August to mid-April, operated only when conditions are favorable. Factors that need to be considered are weather conditions, solar activity, and cloud coverage. We analyze them every day and in case of unfavorable and/or unsafe conditions, the tour will be canceled for the day.
